UVU Envision provides an atmosphere of engaged learning community geared at connecting the classroom with the community and providing students with real-world, hands-on training with community winter guards.
UVU Envision Winter Guard provides an educational foundation for future high school winter guard directors. Currently Envision is engaged in service learning with 11 students working with eight high school winter guard programs in the local community.
Winter Guard is a competitive art form and it is vital that UVU Envision provide students with a multidisciplinary approach of how to create a meaning show, instruct young students, budget constraints, networking, available resources, and plan and prepare programs to compete on a local and regional level. UVU Envision Winter guard encourages students to take an active part in their academic and creative development and take an active part in all aspects of the running of UVU Envision Winter Guard.
